Thread Bound & Feather is a small, proudly Australian business built from a simple frustration, not being able to find book-inspired pieces that felt thoughtfully designed and made to a standard worth buying.

So it became something I could create instead.

Behind the brand is a real person who cares about what gets sent out into the world. Every design is chosen with intention, and every product is selected with a focus on quality, comfort, and longevity. The goal isn’t to produce more, it’s to produce better.

You won’t find shelves of pre-made stock here. Each item is created after it’s ordered, allowing for a more considered approach and less waste. It also means the process is a little slower, but it’s done with care from start to finish.

The inspiration always comes back to books. Not just the stories themselves, but the feeling they leave behind, the atmosphere, the characters, the quiet details that stay with you long after the last page.

You might notice “we” and “our” used throughout the site. While this is a one-person business, it’s not built in isolation. It exists because of the people around me, those who offer support, feedback, ideas, and encouragement along the way. That collective input shapes what this becomes just as much as I do.
